Mayor Barberio is pleased to announce the future arrival of Target in the Troy Hills Shopping Center. Target signed the lease with Federal Realty and will occupy the space once held by Pathmark. The new small-format store will utilize 65,100 square feet. This is a new concept that Target has been undertaking in suburban neighborhoods with Parsippany being their second store of this type in the state. It will house a CVS Pharmacy and Starbucks in addition to a pick-up center for on-line orders.
The space previously occupied by Pathmark in the Troy Hills Shopping Center was the last available big block of retail space left in Parsippany. “I am very pleased to welcome Target to our community. Having a corporation that is ranked 25 in Fortune Magazine’s list of ‘Most Admired Companies’, providing job opportunities and filling the vacant space is a real coup for Parsippany. Our residents and neighbors will be thrilled to join me in welcoming this wonderful corporation to town,” said Mayor Barberio.
The announcement was formally made at the Planning Board meeting on July 10, 2017. Mayor Barberio welcomes Target and is anxious to assist in the next step. He will activate the Mayor’s Action Team as he has done with new businesses that will expedite the permitting process and act as the liaison throughout their experience. There is no doubt that Target will flourish in Parsippany’s business environment.
