Mayor Barberio was one of the welcomed guests to attend the 50th anniversary celebration of Earth Friendly Products which has been caring for the environment by providing safe, green cleaning products in 60 countries worldwide. A family business, Earth Friendly Products has grown significantly since its beginning in 1967 and has evolved as a company whose social responsibility has been an integral part of their culture with 4 manufacturing facilities in the United States and international offices in Greece. They have been deeply committed to sustainable manufacturing, preserving waterways and is a Platinum Zero Waste Manufacturing Company that is carbon and water neutral and solely dependent upon renewable energy. Some of the dignitaries in attendance were U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, State Senator Joe Pennacchio, representatives of Corey Booker and well-known lobbyist Andy Manatos.
Mayor Barberio presented President and CEO, Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks with a proclamation, not only recognizing her accomplishments but also recognizing the importance of Earth Friendly Products. On behalf of the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, Mayor Barberio extended his gratitude to Kelly and her company from making the world a better place.
