Mayor Barberio Gives State of the Town

On January 24th, Mayor Barberio delivered his State of the Town message amid a room filled with township employees, Board of Education members, local residents and Morris County government officials. Among the many highlights of the Mayor’s speech were Parsippany’s ranking as the “fifth best place to live in the USA,” his gratitude to all of the Parsippany employees and volunteers for their tireless commitment to Parsippany and the increase in ratables that have been brought about by a diligent effort to lure new businesses. Another key point was the shared service agreement with the Board of Education that placed School Resource Officers in the 14 Parsippany schools. Safety is and always has been a priority and Mayor Barberio wants to assure everyone that Parsippany, with the hiring of more police officers and the new Special Enforcement Unit, continues to be one of the very safest towns in Morris County.
