Parsippany Fourth grader raises $660 for the American Heart Association

Marissa Christ stopped in today to see Mayor Barberio. Marissa, Parsippany fourth grader, raised $660.00 for the American Heart Association through their Jump Rope for Heart event. Marissa’s motivation for the fundraising was due to her grandfathers’ recent loss to heart disease. Her hopes are too help others with the same difficulties.

Mayor Barberio congratulated Marissa on her accomplishments. All of Parsippany is proud of you.

The American Heart Association (AHA) is a non-profit organization in the United States that fosters appropriate cardiac care in an effort to reduce disability and deaths caused by cardiovascular disease and stroke. Originally formed in New York City in 1924 as the Association for the Prevention and Relief of Heart Disease, it is currently headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency.
