MAYOR JAMES BARBERIO INTRODUCES HIS TEAM

Mayor James Barberio announced his candidacy for reelection on February 20, 2017 at a standing room only crowd at Houlihan’s. The Mayor will continue to provide information to the public regarding his accomplishments over the past seven and a half years and he will provide a vision for the next four years.

Today, Mayor Barberio is sharing biographical information regarding his team so that the public knows who they are voting for. It is the Mayor’s hope that the public will review this information as a starting point to get to the backgrounds of Team Barberio.

  • Parsippany – Troy Hills Mayor, 2010 to present
  • Served on the Parsippany Township Council from 2002 to 2005 and 2007 to 2009
  • Member of the NJ League of Municipalities Legislative Committee.
  • Serves on the Parsippany – Troy Hills Library Board of Trustees
  • Parsippany Police Athletic League Board of Directors
  • Member, Republican Club and Republican Committee
  • 18 Years managing private sector money
  • Parishioner, St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church
  • Trustee with Sons of Italy
  • 2012 Morris Lifetime Achievement Award Boy Scout’s Patriots’ Path Council
  • 2015 Abolitionist Award from Coalition Against Human Trafficking
  • Married to Brenda with two children, Angela and Jamie

  • Parsippany – Troy Hills Councilman 2014 to present and presently Council President
  • Graduate of Seton Hall University, with a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D)
  • Retired from the Parsippany – Troy Hills Police Department in 2012 as a Detective Sergeant
  • Served on the Parsippany Board of Education
  • Member of Parsippany Republican Committee
  • Member of the Morris County Park Commission
  • Morris County Human Services Council on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans
  • Served with distinction in the U.S. Army Reserves for 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Lou was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom
  • Member of Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church in Whippany
  • Married to Ivette and has three daughters
