Intervale students and staff members always look forward to Mayor Barberio’s long-standing tradition of visiting and reading to first graders in Mrs. Manley, Mrs. Schwartz and Mrs. Petersen’s classes. And March 1st was no different as the Mayor stopped by for his eighth annual visit.
In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday this year, Mayor Barberio read his all time favorite Dr. Seuss book, Hooper Humperdink, and discussed with students the moral of this meaningful story. The children were then given the opportunity to ask the Mayor any questions they had.
At the end of the visit, the Intervale first graders eagerly gathered for a group photo with the Mayor as a special memento of their wonderful day.
