Lake Parsippany Fishing Club Holds its Annual “Trout Stocking Day”

On April 1, 2017, the Lake Parsippany Fishing Club had its Annual Trout stocking the Lake Parsippany Boathouse. There were many residence in attendance along with Township of Parsippany – Troy Hills Mayor James Barberio who has attended the Trout stocking event for the past 8 years.

This is a day when all those who use the the lake to fish come out to celebrate the beginning of the fishing season. All the children line up to get a first glimpse of the fish and hoping that they will catch one of the many trouts that put into the lake.

Mayor Barberio sponsors one of the Trout which is usually the biggest one. The Trout is tagged so whoever catches will know its the Mayor’s Trout. The person who catches the Mayor’s Trout wins a prize. “It’s one of my favorite events. It’s nice to be around the residents and the children who are so excited that the day for Fishing is near.”
