Parsippany, NJ
On Friday, February 10, 2017, All Saints Academy (ASA) held its annual Tricky Tray Fundraiser in Parsippany. This is the school’s largest annual fundraiser conducted by the Home School Association. This year’s sold-out event was led by Co-Chairwoman Beth Huppert and Co-Chairwoman Mary Ellen Cavanaugh, and their all-volunteer committee.
In attendance was Mayor James Barberio who donated a silent auction item entitled “Mayor for the Day” such that the student-winner would spend time with the Mayor in his office learning about the responsibilities of the position as the CEO of Parsippany.
Over 225 baskets of items and prizes were donated, that included sporting tickets, gift cards, jewelry, designer handbags and high-end electronics. One of the grand prizes was a family trip to Florida. The winner of the 50/50 that evening took home over $1,500.
Principal Judith Berg considered the event a success, as it hosted over 325 attendees of ASA families and friends, and it was estimated to have met its fundraising expectations. In addition to Mayor Barberio, sponsors included Assemblyman Jay Webber, County Clerk Ann Grossi, Parsippany Councilman Michael dePierro and Councilwoman Loretta Gragnani. Attendees included Councilman Louis Valori and Board of Education President Frank Neglia.
All Saints Academy is located at 189 Baldwin Road and has approximately 245 students attending this year. Established in 2009, ASA is a Preschool through Grade 8 school, serving the three Parsippany Roman Catholic parishes of Saint Ann, Saint Christopher and Saint Peter the Apostle and the Parsippany community. ASA is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) school of the Paterson Diocese, and is one of only three AdvancED STEM-certified Catholic elementary schools in the nation. Its mission statement is: To foster spiritual and academic growth within our students in a Christ-centered environment through the highest quality of Catholic education.
Congratulations to All Saints Academy on your successful fundraiser!
